MEXICO CITY: Mexican authorities reported on Tuesday that a total number of 305 foreigners unaccounted for after the Hurricane Otis stuck the Mexico's resort city of Acapulco were successfully found and moved out from the location, reported Xinhua.
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, efforts were made on request by their respective countries of origin and consulate to seek for thir citizens.
“Belize, Croatia, the United Kingdom and Uruguay join the group of countries whose nationals have been found, along with Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Japan, Peru and Switzerland”, it was announced.
Hurricane Otis, a category 5 hurricane, struck the Pacific coast of the Mexican state of Guerrero last Wednesday, causing serious damage mainly in Acapulco, one of Mexico’s main tourist destinations, as well as in other coastal towns in the state.

墨西哥城:據新華社報道,墨西哥當局週二報告稱,奧蒂斯颶風襲擊墨西哥度假城市阿卡普爾科後,已成功找到並轉移出305名下落不明的外國人。
墨西哥外交部表示,已應其各自原籍國和領事館的要求,努力尋找其公民。
聲明中寫道:“伯利茲、克羅埃西亞、英國和烏拉圭加入了已發現國民的國家行列,此外還有德國、阿根廷、巴西、智利、哥倫比亞、西班牙、日本、秘魯和瑞士。”
上週三,5級颶風「奧蒂斯」襲擊了墨西哥格雷羅州的太平洋海岸,主要對墨西哥主要旅遊目的地之一的阿卡普爾科以及該州其他沿海城鎮造成嚴重破壞。
