80 Hong Kongers Honored as "Good Citizens" for Acts of Bravery

On February 24, 2025, a ceremony took place in Hong Kong where 80 residents were recognized as "Good Citizens" for their courageous actions in preventing crime and saving lives throughout the past year. The awards aim to motivate citizens to enhance public safety.

Among the honorees, nine individuals will receive the esteemed "Good Citizen of the Year Award." Additionally, seven organizations will be acknowledged with "Good Organization Awards" for their significant contributions to crime prevention efforts.
During the event, Police Commissioner Raymond Siu Chak-yee emphasized that even small acts of kindness can make a difference in preventing crime or saving lives. He encouraged the community to stay alert against fraud and reiterated the police's commitment to ongoing anti-fraud initiatives. Siu expressed hope for a collaborative community effort in crime prevention, highlighting the importance of good citizenship.
