A 22-year-old missing man was found dead in the sea near Tin Wan Praya Road in Aberdeen, Hong Kong

At 1:37 a.m. today, a member of the public discovered a body floating face down in the water near the breakwater of Tin Wan Praya Road in Aberdeen. Suspecting it was a missing relative, they immediately called the authorities for help.

The fire department rushed to the scene and salvaged a 22-year-old man named Lam from the sea. However, upon examination, it was confirmed that he had died.


Law enforcement officials quickly covered the body with a tent while awaiting the arrival of the coroner to further investigate and determine the cause of death. No suicide note was found at the scene.


Preliminary investigation results revealed that the deceased was a missing person as he disappeared after leaving his residence in Aberdeen Avenue, Hong Kong Island on the evening of Saturday, October 14. The next day, October 15, his worried family reported him missing and began a search with friends and relatives, only to find tragic results.
