Hong Kong National Security law arrested a 57-year-old on suspicion of "doing an act or acts with seditious intention"

The National Security law watchdog investigation discovered that the man was suspected of publishing posts on social media to disseminate seditious messages that provoked hatred towards the central government and SAR government, as well as advocating "independence of Hong Kong", demanding sanctions against government officials, and inciting the use of violence.

In the further Officer's effort to affirm the evidence, the man's residence was searched. They found and seized some suspicious communication gadgets for publishing the seditious messages.

He was eventually charged with one count of "doing an act or acts with seditious intention" on Tuesday

The case will be read at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on Wednesday, 18th of October, 2023.
