A 72-year-old taxi driver died after he collapsed and hit a kerb while driving

A 72-year-old taxi driver reportedly collapsed while he was steering and heading to Yuen Long along Cheung Tsing Tunnel on early Saturday morning, police reported.

According to the police, the man crashed into a roadside pavement at 2:18 a.m. on his way out of the Cheung Tsing tunnel, after losing control of his vehicle.

The paramedic found him unconscious and rushed him to Yan Chai Hospital where he was finally confirmed dead at 7:38 a.m.

The two passengers on board were said to be uninjured.

根據警方通報，一名72歲的士司機週六凌晨駕車沿著長青隧道前往元朗時暈倒。

警方表示，凌晨2時18分，男子駛出長青隧道時車輛失控，撞上路邊人行道。

醫護人員發現他昏迷不醒，立即將他送往仁濟醫院，最後於上午7時38分證實死亡。

據稱，機上的兩名乘客沒有受傷。
