Tragic Incident in Tsuen Wan: Hong Kong Resident Fatally Falls Into Water While Fishing


A 61-year-old man who was fishing with hook and line on a rocky shore has been reported dead after he fell into the water around a Hong Kong village located in Tsuen Wan.


Police said that the incident happened on Saturday while the man was fishing at around 11.49 am at a location near Ka Loon Tsuen in Tsuen Wan.


The man was carried slowly by a water current about 40 metres offshore and lost consciousness, the report said.


Thereafter, he was located by the responded firefighters at about 10 to 20 metres offshore and rescued.


He was quickly conveyed to Tuen Mun Hospital in New Territories but unfortunately certified dead.

據報道,一名61歲的釣魚者在荃灣一個村莊附近的岩石海岸釣魚時掉入水中死亡。


警方表示,事件發生於週六上午11時49分左右,當時該男子在荃灣嘉龍村附近釣魚。


報道稱,該名男子被水流緩慢帶到離岸約40公尺處並失去意識。


隨後,趕到的消防人員在離岸約10至20公尺處發現了他並將其救起。


他很快就被送往新界屯門醫院,但不幸被證實死亡。
