Hong Kong Observatory has issued a localized heavy rain advisory warning.

It was reported that rain is particularly heavy in Sai Kung district and Tap Mun in Taipo. More than 70 millimetres

of rainfall have been recorded in Sai Kung district in the past 1 hour ending at 9:50 a.m.

The residents who are likely to be affected are advised to take a precaution to avoid possible flood damage.

It was said that heavy rain may bring about flash floods and that people should stay away from watercourses. The drivers are also advised to beware that there is likely to be serious road flooding and traffic congestion.
