A number 1 alarm fire outbreak on Saturday morning on Yu Chau Street, Sham Shi Po at around 8 am took the life of a man and left 2 people seriously injured, it was reported.
The reports said that 32 people were removed from the inflamed unit. Five people were rushed to the hospital and two of them are in critical condition.
"Police investigation revealed that one of the occupants burned charcoal", officers stated.
A temporary shelter has been opened by Sham Shui Po District Office, Nam Cheong Community Centre for people that might need a place in the course of the incident.

據報導，週六早上8點左右，深石埗汝州街發生一號火災，造成一名男子死亡、兩人重傷。
報導稱，有 32 人被從發炎的單位中轉移出來。 五人被送往醫院，其中兩人傷勢危重。
警方表示， “警方調查顯示，其中一名居住者燒了木炭”。
深水埗民政事務處南昌社區中心已設立臨時庇護所，供事件期間可能需要庇護的人士使用。
