A man's body recovered from an excavator plunged inside the pond in Yuen Long

The remains of a man have been obtained by a Hong Kong firefighter on Tuesday night from an excavator that was immersed in a fish pond in the Yuen Long area,  New Territory.

It was reported that the emergency services got a call yesterday night that an excavator having the operator inside had been driven into the pond off Yau Pok Road in Yuen Long’s Tai Sang Wai.

The firefighting diving team was sent to the site and recovered a man in his 60s. He was confirmed dead at the scene, the report said.

Police said the incident is under investigation. Also, the Labour Department has sent its officials to investigate the accident and collect the information.

元朗池塘挖出一具男子屍體

週二晚上，一名香港消防隊員從新界元朗地區的一個魚池裡的挖掘機中打撈出一名男子的遺體。

據報道，緊急服務部門昨晚接到電話，稱一台挖土機墜入元朗大學生圍又壆路的池塘，其中載有操作員。

消防潛水隊被派往現場並救出一名60多歲的男子。 報道稱，他被證實當場死亡。

警方表示，事件正在調查中。 此外，勞工部已派出官員調查事故並收集資訊。
