A man who travelled from Latvia to Hong Kong was arrested with 2.4million worth of cocaine


Customs apprehended a 32- year- old man at the Hong International Airport on Saturday after he was found with about 3 kg of suspected cocaine worth HK$2.4 million.


The man who flew on a plane from Latvia through Germany to Hong Kong was intercepted during customs clearance and the officers found the batch of suspected cocaine hidden inside the secret compartment of his checked-in suitcase.


Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance in Hong Kong, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence and the maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.

週六,海關在香港國際機場逮捕了一名 32 歲男子,此前他被發現攜帶約 3 公斤價值 240 萬港元的懷疑可卡因。

該名男子乘飛機由拉脫維亞經德國飛抵香港時,在清關時被截查,人員在其托運行李箱的秘密隔間內發現該批懷疑可卡因。

根據香港《危險藥物條例》,販運危險藥物屬嚴重罪行,一經定罪,最高可被判罰款港幣 500 萬元及終身監禁。
