A Nigerian student, Ikem, was allegedly brutally murdered by a group of Chinese nationals in the Republic of the Philippines.
A friend of the deceased, Michael Ojuola, reportedly disclosed this on Sunday through his X account.
Ojuola wrote: “A friend of mine, a Nigerian medical student named Ikem, who was studying in the Republic of the Philippines, was brutally murdered by a group of Chinese.
“They tied his hands, covered his mouth and beat him black and blue until he gave up the ghost.
“Regardless of the relationship between the Philippines and China, this should not be swept under the rug!
"This is so inhumane and barbaric! I can't even think straight right now because I'm getting horrific videos from the hospital."
In another post on his X account, Ojuola shared a video of the body of the deceased.
His caption read: "RIP Ikem!" No one should have to go through this. As I write, no arrests have been made yet. This young man was brutally murdered.
