A taxi driver took the risk and entered the express lane of Tai Chung Road near Sha Tsui Road. Just then, a Lamborghini sports car drove up. It seemed that he did not react in time and had a strong collision with the taxi. The impact caused the taxi to lose control, hit a central stone barrier and roll three times.
The out-of-control Lamborghini then hit another taxi, pushing it forward before crashing into a seven-seater car, causing multiple people to call for help.
The persons involved in the accident included a 38-year-old male sports car driver, two taxi drivers aged 54 and 65, two male and one female passenger in the car (aged between 32 and 40 years old), and a three-month-old baby whose arms was injured. Emergency ambulances quickly rushed all the injured to hospitals for treatment.
Additionally, a 4-year-old girl in one of the taxis experienced pure shock but was also taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up. Currently, law enforcement officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
