A woman died from chest injury after crashing into a boom barrier along popular bicycle road in Hong Kong

A female cycling in a village around Taipo, Hong Kong died on Sunday from a sustained chest injury after she lost control and collided with a boom barrier on the road.


The woman was reported to be in her 30s. She was riding a bicycle along Tai Mei Tuk Road in Tai Po and down the slope towards a barbeque pit in an area popular with cyclists, the report said.


On getting to the YHA Bradbury Jockey Club Tai Mei Tuk Youth Hostel, she hit the lowered boom barrier and fell to the ground at about 7 pm, the police reported


Consequently, she sustained injuries to her chest, unconscious and was thereafter rushed to the nearby hospital where she was later certified dead.


The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.

週日,香港大埔附近的一個村莊裡,一名騎自行車的女性失去控制,撞上路上的護欄,胸部嚴重受傷,不幸身亡。


據報道,這名女子30多歲。 報道稱,她當時沿著大埔大美篤路騎自行車,沿著斜坡朝騎自行車者常去的地區的一個燒烤坑走去。


警方報告稱,晚上7點左右,她在到達YHA白普理賽馬會大美督青年旅舍時,撞到了降下的欄桿並摔倒在地。


結果,她胸部受傷,失去知覺。


隨後她被送往附近的醫院,隨後被證實死亡。


事故原因警方正在調查中。
