Citybus which is one of the major transportation companies in Hong Kong organised a “Diversity Recruitment Day” at the Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui on 30th April, focusing on ethnic minority applicants for positions such as bus drivers, technicians, and trainees. Ethnic minority students from the city's tertiary institutions present at the event to ask various questions about job vacancies and application requirements. Some of them applied for the position of bus driver, expressing their aspirations to serve the public.

According to Wong Wai-yip, the General Manager of Citybus and New World First Bus, "the company has received an increase in the turnover rate of its staff, possibly due to some employees leaving Hong Kong. However, the present rate of loss is still manageable, and as the city back to normal, all industries need to step up recruitment efforts to attract talent." Wong believes that the young and cohesive nature of Hong Kong’s minority community makes them potentially valuable additions to the company.
Wong also mentioned that Citybus currently employs two or three non-Chinese bus drivers, who exhibit the same level of performance and attitude as their local counterparts and receive the same income and benefits. To accommodate their beliefs and cultural needs, the company tries its best to adjust their schedules, allowing them to attend mosques for prayers as usual.
