The Hong Kong government made it known to the public yesterday, Friday that the five existing Covid-19 community testing centers and community testing stations in the city will totally stop the operation starting from the 13th of May.

The government decided after the request for local COvid-19 testing service fell to a very low level lately due to the lifting of the pre-departure Covid-19 nucleic acid testing demand and to make the premises available again for the community and recreational uses.

Authority said in a statement that five closing testing centres would be returning to their original functions as a community and recreational centres as soon as possible. Eighty community and recreational sites released earlier have been returned to their various venue managers.

Some various hospitals and laboratories are recognized by the government across the city for Covid-19 nucleic acid tests. Residents could check and make their arrangements for the tests if need be.
