Tragic news emerged in the Australian state of Victoria on Saturday as authorities confirmed a man had been killed in a shooting in Melbourne's inner-city suburb of South Yarra.
Emergency services were called to reports of multiple gunshots to a man walking down the street at around 11.40pm local time on Friday, according to an official statement from Victoria Police.
The police confirmed that the victim was seriously injured and life-threatening, and unfortunately died of his injuries after being sent to the hospital.
