The direct flights operated by China Southern Airlines using A320 aircraft start to fly from Harbin to Hong Kong on Sunday, making journey between the cities to be reduced to arround five hours.
According to the reports by CCTV News, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Transportation confirmed the inaugural Harbin-Hong Kong route would debut on Sunday, 2nd of June.
Chinese authorities earlier announced the approval of new eight Chinese cities for solo travel to Hong Kong and Macau that include Harbin in Heilongjiang Province. The motive in which to improve economy, trade, boost tourism and cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Heilongjiang.
The reports said that the flight schedule would be twice in a week, Thursday and Sunday. There would be departure each day from Harbin at 7:40am and arriving at 1pm in Hong Kong. And on the same day leaving Hong Kong at 2:15pm and landing in Harbin at 7:15pm.
