According to official statistics from the Immigration Department, the number of Filipino domestic helpers (FDHs) in Hong Kong has exceeded 200,000, reaching a total of 201,104 as of the end of January 2024. This marks an increase of 11,004 compared to the same period last year.
Filipino domestic helpers now constitute 55.6% of the overall FDH population in Hong Kong, followed by Indonesia with 148,935 FDHs, accounting for 41.45% of the total figure of 359,296. The remaining 3% is comprised of nationals from India, Thailand, and other countries.
Despite the ongoing outflow of residents from Hong Kong, with approximately 291,000 residents leaving last year, there has been a steady rise in the number of FDHs coming to Hong Kong. This trend has continued despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is worth noting that during the peak of the pandemic in July 2021, the Filipino DH population reached its highest point at 203,000. However, it gradually declined as the COVID-19 situation worsened.
The month-on-month tally of the FDH population in Hong Kong, based on Immigration Department figures, is as follows:

根據入境事務處的官方統計數據，截至2024年1月底，香港的菲律賓家庭傭工（FDH）數量超過20萬人，總數達到201,104人。相比去年同期增加了11,004人。
菲律賓家庭傭工現在佔香港家庭傭工總數的55.6％，其次是印尼，擁有148,935名家庭傭工，佔總數的41.45％，剩餘的3％來自印度、泰國和其他國家。
儘管香港居民持續外流，去年約有29.1萬居民離開，但來港家庭傭工的數量逐漸增加。儘管受到COVID-19疫情的挑戰，這一趨勢仍在持續。
值得注意的是，在2021年7月疫情高峰期間，菲律賓家庭傭工人數最高達到20.3萬人，但隨著疫情惡化，逐漸下降。
