On December 31, 2024, a Filipino permanent resident in Hong Kong was fined $2,000 and received a suspended jail sentence at Kowloon City Court for public indecency. The individual, identified as S. Ferraris, a 58-year-old landscape designer, was found guilty of "committing an act outraging public decency" by exposing himself in public.

According to Magistrate Kestrel Lam, Ferraris will not serve the 14-week imprisonment sentence if he refrains from reoffending within the next 36 months. The case stemmed from a complaint by Wong Tai Sin Police, which accused Ferraris of engaging in lewd behavior on September 6, 2022, outside the MUM Veggie Café on Yan Oi Street, San Po Kong, Wong Tai Sin, Kowloon.
Ferraris pleaded guilty to the charges, which included taking out and rubbing his penis in public, actions deemed lewd and offensive to public decency.
This incident raises concerns about public behavior and the legal ramifications of such acts in Hong Kong.
