Hamas freed more hostages, including one American, a report says

Hamas freed more hostages on Wednesday which is the final day of an added truce agreement with Israel. At least one American was included in the latest exchange as it was reported.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the Red Cross has received the sixth wave of hostages, estimated at 12, who will receive medical screenings before being transferred to Israeli hospitals.

CNN reported that at least one American hostage is expected among the dozen, along with two hostages with Russian-Israeli citizenship.

The hostages were exchanged for the freedom of 30 Palestinian prisoners in Israel, including 15 women and 15 teenagers.

After the latest 12 hostages were released on Wednesday, Hamas will have freed the estimated number of 93 hostages since the truce began on Friday while Israel released a total of 177 prisoners, all women and minors.
