As a part of the "Happy Hong Kong" campaign purposely introduced by Financial Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po in April to revive the city's economy. "Harbour Chill Carnival" has been tagged as Hong Kong's largest waterfront celebration coming up to bring cheers to residents as the Tourism Board said.
The big event will be featuring the Hong Kong rapper, Cheng Tsun Yin which is better known as Tyson Yoshi, Jason Chan Pak-yu and other famous artists who will be performing a range of arts along the Wanchai waterfront extending from Golden Bauhinia Square to the Cross HarbourTunnel.

The carnival is scheduled to be on every Saturday and Sunday night for five weekends from the 8th of July, 2023 and to cost HK$40 million (US$5.1 million).
“It will bring together a fresh and exciting series of weekend events for the public to enjoy summer,” board executive director Dane Cheng Ting-yat said. “The carnival will add a vibrant new look to the popular Victoria Harbour, showcasing Hong Kong’s diverse offerings and enriching visitors’ experience.”

There will be 41 singers performing in the event with five artists coming up the stage on the first night and four artists each for the rest of the nights.
The carnival will also be showcasing talented street performers from the city and around the world. The arts such as acrobats, dancers and kung fu experts, and X-Games acts from BMX riders, skateboarders and breakdancers will be joining to brighten up the show.

There will be two Australian performers, a former Australian artistic gymnastics champion who will perform with hula hoops, which light up at night and a lifelike elephant art installation that will be unveiled in Hong Kong for the first time after completing a tour back home.
The local lion dance will be combining traditional art with LED lighting and a special pyrotechnic edition of Victoria Harbour’s nightly Symphony of Lights show that will take place at 8 pm each Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is free and tickets will be available for the residents to grab. Free tickets will be given out in two rounds, on the 27th of June and 17th of July on the Tourism Board website at 10 am.
The event venue can only accommodate 2,500 people each night and there will be no allocated seating and participants will need to stand throughout the event.
Up to 20 per cent of the tickets will be available to tourists at the board’s Tsim Sha Tsui Visitor Centre, while the rest are available to be given to the residents.
