HK police found two prostitutes of 16-year-old and a Hong Kong medical student when raided a brothel

Police raided a house of prostitution at Kimberly Road, Tsim Sha Shui after receiving a tip-off. Six sex workers were found on the premise among them were a Hong Kong medical student and two teenagers,16 years old, it was reported.

A 20-year-old brothel operator woman was apprehended by the officer while raiding on Thursday evening. She was allegedly accused of operating a seven-room brothel.

It was specified by the police intelligence that each client was charged between HK$1,500 and HK$2,000 to render the sex services while the operator took half of the money.

The source said that the customers were believed to have included bankers and insurance agents, as well as male flight attendants, he added.

The secret officers were deployed to the brothel earlier disguised as clients to gather evidence at about 7 pm on Thursday.

Officers seized more than HK$6,000 worth of suspected crime proceeds and condoms.

The six women were not arrested. It was legal for those above the age of 15 to work as prostitutes, it was explained.

The source added that both 16-year-olds were taken to a Kowloon City police station where the parent of one of them later showed up to pick her.

However, on Friday police applied for a care and protection order in court for the authorities to get custody of the other 16-year-old girl, since her father was dead and her mother in prison.

The officers are still tracking the leader of the prostitution ring behind the brothel, as well as other suspects, police said.

In Hong Kong, running a vice establishment is punishable by up to 10 years in jail under the Crimes Ordinance.
