The MTR (Mass Transit Railway), KMB (Kowloon Motor Bus), and Citybus will be increasing their services, offering more frequent connections to and from the airport, border control points, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, catering to both local residents and cross-border travelers.
The MTR has planned additional train services on the Island Line, Tsuen Wan Line, South Island Line, and Disneyland Resort Line. This will accommodate citizens and tourists who wish to visit the waterfront's illuminated art installations and cultural events in Central during the holiday period. The South Island Line will see increased services throughout the day, particularly during morning, midday, and early evening peak hours. The Disneyland Resort Line will also have shorter intervals of approximately five minutes during selected morning and evening periods, ensuring convenient transportation for residents and visitors to the theme park.
For individuals planning to pay their respects at gravesites, the frequency of MTR bus route K52A from Tuen Mun Station to Ching Chung Koon will be increased from every 60 minutes to approximately every 15 to 30 minutes. This adjustment will be in effect from March 16 through the Easter holiday period, Ching Ming Festival, and subsequent weekends.
KMB anticipates a surge in residents traveling through various border control points and has accordingly planned to enhance services on routes connecting these checkpoints. Special offers, such as "two rides for the price of one," will be available on routes B1 and B9, allowing passengers to transfer at Yuen Long for travel to and from Lok Ma Chau or Shenzhen Bay. Additionally, KMB will increase service on route 6 (from Lai Chi Kok to Tsim Sha Tsui Pier) on March 29th, 30th, April 5th, and 6th, ensuring a pleasant travel experience for visitors exploring Kowloon's bustling Nathan Road and enjoying local culinary delights in areas like Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok, and Sham Shui Po.
Long Win Bus has announced that route A46 (from Siu Hong Court in Fo Tan to Airport Ground Transportation Centre) will operate as a full-day service, effective immediately. This route, passing through Siu Hong, Wo Che, Lek Yuen, Sha Tin Central, Mei Lam, and Tsing Sha Highway Bus Interchange, will facilitate convenient travel to the airport or the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. From March 29th to April 7th, Long Win will enhance services across multiple district routes, all of which provide access to the bridge and airport.
During the peak of the Easter long holiday, Citybus will operate services to the two major land border control points, Shenzhen Bay and Lok Ma Chau, as frequently as every five and seven minutes, respectively. To accommodate island residents, Citybus will introduce an overnight route, NA10, and enhance services on routes A21 and A23. The Airport Express A25 from Kai Tak, passing through Hung Hom, Whampoa, and Tsim Sha Tsui to the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the airport, will be upgraded to a full-day service without any days off.
