Hong Kong Observatory forecasts widespread heavy rain and intense gusts on Saturday afternoon and urges everyone to seek a safe place and stay alert for shifts in weather.
The weather watchdog issued thunderstorms and strong monsoon warnings in the morning because a trough of low pressure brought showers and thunderstorms to Guangdong.
It was said that the city would start to cool down in the coming days, accompanied by a few showers.
“Under the influence of a fresh easterly airstream, temperatures will fall slightly over the coastal areas of Guangdong midweek next week,” the forecaster said.
