Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, in partnership with the Li Ka Shing Foundation, is excited to announce a new series of complimentary trips for domestic helpers to the theme park this year. This initiative follows a record net profit of HK$838 million in the previous year.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Disneyland's managing director, Michael Moriarty, shared plans for additional sponsored excursions for domestic helpers. This effort builds on the positive feedback received from two previous visits held in January. A total of 4,200 domestic helpers benefited from the initiative, each receiving a one-day ticket, an HK$80 transport allowance on their Octopus cards, and meals worth HK$365, with costs shared between Disneyland and the foundation.

Moriarty expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations, stating, "We will work with them on something special." He also highlighted the park’s financial success for 2024 and the upcoming celebrations for its 20th anniversary.

The Li Ka Shing Foundation, established by the prominent tycoon Li Ka-shing, has been approached for further comments on this initiative. The significant net profit for the year ending September 30, 2024, marks a notable recovery from a net loss of HK$356 million the previous year, indicating the park’s return to profitability for the first time in a decade.
