On July 1st, Hong Kong people would get 1 free ferry ride on Tsim Sha Shui to Wanchai and Central to Hung Hom routes which are operated by Star Ferry and Fortune Ferry respectively. It will also be extended to Hong Kong Water Taxi trips that route Tsm Sha Shui East, Central, Wanchai and West Kowloon. Tram will also be free. All are available for free for 5 straight days, according to the City's leader.
Facilities operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, including most swimming pools, will also be opened for free.
Museums in the city including M+ and Hong Kong Palace Museum will welcome residents freely. More than 1,000 restaurants will be giving 29% discounts to diners. The Hong Kong Wetland Parks would also be enjoyed for free during the period.

The discount will be offered as well to the residents using "Local Fresh mobile Apps to buy local grocery products from July 1 to 7, as announced.
Moreover, the chief Executive emphasized the last two major challenging events in the city, the anti-government protests in 2019 as well as the COVID-19 pandemic that struck the last 3 years. And warned against breaking of laws and orders in the coming July 1st celebration which is also the 1st anniversary of starting the biggest job.
We had two years of July 1 being hijacked by others, with peace broken and illegal acts committed. So, we must not let our guard down,” Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said.
