On October 1, 2024, a serious incident occurred at Ching Chung Hau Po Woon Secondary School in Tuen Mun, where a 16-year-old student suffered an injury after sitting on a pen placed on his chair by a classmate. The incident took place around 3:30 PM during class.
Reports indicate that a 15-year-old student had placed a pink ballpoint pen vertically on the seat of the victim. Unaware of its presence, the victim stood up to respond to a question and subsequently sat down, resulting in the pen penetrating his scrotum and inner thigh.

Following the incident, police arrested the 15-year-old boy involved, who is currently in custody.
