Joe Biden tripped on the sandbag and fell at Air Force Academy commencement

Joe Biden, the American president stumbled after completing the speech at the US Air Force Academy commencement in Colorado on Thursday.

The trip occurred as Biden was jogging away from centre stage, where he had just delivered a commencement address to the Academy's graduates. 

The secret agents and some other men around quickly rushed to him as he fumbled, and held his arms to get him back on his feet. He pointed back toward the ground where he stumbled, showing something came up in his path, as he got back up. It was the sandbags used to weigh down two teleprompters that had gotten in his way.

Biden spent over 90 minutes handing out diplomas and congratulating hundreds of cadets at the ceremony. He looked fine later and walked with no assistance to his seat in the stands in good spirits.

The White House reported that the president was fine after the trip.

Biden is the American oldest president. He was 80 years old last year, November and is running for a second term. Apart from the recent public fall, he had similar incidents including falling to the ground during a bike ride last year in Delaware. He was also seen slipping on the stairs as he boards Air Force One.
