Man Leaps from Height During Fire Department's Rescue Operation in Kwun Tong

In an alarming incident that took place today at 1:55 PM on Wai Yip Street in Kwun Tong, a man was spotted precariously perched on the edge of a multi-story car park railing at 182 Kei Yip Street. A passerby immediately reported the situation, recognizing the life-threatening danger the man was in. Responding swiftly, rescue personnel arrived at the scene and prepared to deploy an air cushion to facilitate the rescue operation.

However, before the rescue team could intervene, the man made a desperate leap from the height and landed motionless on the road below along Kei Yip Street. An ambulance was immediately called, and the unconscious individual was swiftly transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

At present, the authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the identity of the man and the underlying reasons for his attempted suicide.
