Residents evacuated after fire in Shek Kip Mei Estate

About 240 people were evacuated after a fire broke out in an apartment at Mei Lung House in Shek Kip Mei Estate around midnight on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters believe the fire was caused by an electric bicycle battery and there is nothing suspicious.

Two women, aged 28 and 60, who lived in other units, were sent to Caritas Medical Center due to smoke inhalation.

周二凌晨，石硖尾村美隆楼的一套公寓于午夜左右发生火灾，约有 240 人被疏散。

消防队员认为火灾是由一辆电动自行车的电池引起的，并无可疑之处。
