The initial cost to hire a new Indonesia domestic helper could be over HK$20,000 in Hong Kong

Indonesian authorities have announced that employers from Hong Kong will now take responsibility for the transportation, training, and administrative costs to hire domestic helpers whose expenses could be over HK$20,000.

Presently, the agency fees to hire an Indonesian domestic helper are between HK$12,000 to HK$18,000.

It was realized that the Indonesian government wants to cut off the cost of HK$9,000 which is being paid by the workers. The cost covers transportation, training, and administrative fees.

Therefore the expenses of having an Indonesian domestic helper in Hong Kong could be up to HK$27,000.
