Three men equipped with knives and sledge hammers robbed a luxury watch shop in Hong Kong

Three robbers using surgical masks, face caps to hide their faces and equipped with butcher knives and sledge hammers entered a luxury watch shop in the city on Monday afternoon and stole HK$5 million worth of the most expensive timepieces in the store.


At 3:40 pm, the thieves went directly to the VIP Station store on 16, Canton Road in Tsim Sha Shui carrying hammers and knives as weapons.


The group were believed to be South Asian, smashed display cases and grabbed luxury watches, including Rolex timepieces, worth an estimated HK$5 million. They fled the scene and drove towards Salisbury Road in a Toyota seven-seater driven by a fourth suspect, a police source said.


A female staff in the store got minor injuries to her hand during the robbery and was taken to a hospital.



One knife and one hammer were left at the scene, it was said.


Police are yet to make any arrests.

該團伙據信是南亞人,他們砸碎了陳列櫃並搶走了包括勞力士手錶在內的豪華手錶,價值估計為 500 萬港元。 警方消息人士稱,他們乘坐第四名嫌疑人駕駛的豐田七座車逃離​​現場,前往索爾茲伯里路。

店內一名女工作人員在搶劫中手部受輕傷,被送往醫院。

據稱,現場留下了一把刀和一把錘子。

警方尚未逮捕任何人。
