Two Hong Kong Tourists Injured in Mount Aso Helicopter Tour

Two Hong Kong tourists were injured in a helicopter tour around Mount Aso in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The incident occurred on Monday when the sightseeing helicopter, operated by a zoo named "Cuddly Dominion," experienced engine problems and was forced to make an emergency landing.

On board the helicopter were the pilot and two Hong Kong tourists. The helicopter had just completed a flight around Mount Aso and was returning to the zoo when the engine lost power. The pilot managed to make an emergency landing near an elderly care home.

The pilot, a 57-year-old man, suffered a fractured hip during the landing. One of the passengers, a 33-year-old woman, sustained a leg fracture. The other passenger, a 32-year-old man, injured his face in the incident. All three individuals were conscious and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the engine failure and the subsequent emergency landing. It is crucial to determine the factors that led to this incident to prevent similar accidents in the future.

The safety and well-being of tourists should always be a top priority in any tourism activity. Incidents like these serve as a reminder of the importance of regular maintenance and thorough safety checks for all aircraft used in tourist operations.
