Two men found floating on waters at two separate places in Hong Kong were certified dead

Two men who were discovered afloat in the waters this afternoon at Sheung Wan and Causeway Bay as it continued to rain cats and dogs, were pronounced dead on Friday.


The police received a distress call at 10:35 a.m. today about a man who was afloat in the waters around Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. Emergency

services were called and the man was found unconscious and taken to the Ruttonjee hospital where he was certified dead.


At another location, Sheung Wan, another call was received at 11:51 a.m. about a man who was also afloat in the waters around the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal. The emergency services arrived, found him unconscious and took him to Queen Mary Hospital but was certified dead as well.


Police said there is an ongoing investigation into the identification of these two men and the cause of their falling into the water.

警方表示,正在對這兩人的身份以及他們落水的原因進行調查。
