As the annual Dragon Boat Festival approaches on June 10th, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has announced an exciting lineup of events to be held along the iconic Victoria Harbour waterfront.
The festivities kick off this Saturday, June 8th, with the Summer Chill Food Lane at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. Ten food stalls will offer a variety of specialty summer treats, including handcrafted beer, Hong Kong-style milk tea, cold-brew coffee, and coconut desserts. Visitors can also enjoy a LINE FRIENDS-themed pop-up store and photo spots to capture memorable moments.
On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Wan Chai harbourfront will host an awe-inspiring drone performance. A thousand drones will form intricate, dynamic patterns in the sky, depicting rice dumplings, dragon boat races, and flying dragons.
The celebrations continue on June 15th with a dazzling pyrotechnics display over the Wan Chai skyline, featuring smiley faces and the letters "HK". The HKTB will provide free ice cream to spectators from 6 pm to 8 pm on both the drone and pyrotechnics display evenings.
The highlight of the festivities will be the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, taking place on June 15th and 16th off the Tsim Sha Tsui East Promenade. The event will showcase 17 races, with participation from over 170 teams representing 12 countries and regions, including Singapore, Japan, the UAE, and Thailand.
These vibrant events promise to enliven the Victoria Harbour waterfront and celebrate the rich cultural traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival, drawing both local and international visitors to enjoy the festivities.
端午節活動為維多利亞港增添活力
隨著端午節的到來,香港旅遊發展局(香港旅遊發展局)宣佈了一系列五項在維多利亞港沿岸舉行的精彩活動。
慶祝活動將於6月8日(星期六)在尖沙咀星光大道開始,那裡會設立「夏日涼意美食荼」。十個食攤將提供各種夏日特色飲品和小吃,包括手工啤酒、香港奶茶、冷萃咖啡、椰子甜品等。遊客還可以參加 LINE FRIENDS 主題的快閃店和拍照點,購買限量紀念品,紀念龍舟賽和沿港的難忘時刻。
端午節當日(6月10日),灣仔海濱將舉行一場壯觀的無人機表演。一千架無人機將在天空中組成錯綜複雜、動感十足的圖案,呈現粽子、龍舟賽和飛龍的景象。
6月15日將上演耀眼的煙花表演,在灣仔天際綫點亮愉悅的笑臉和"HK"字樣。旅遊發展局將在這兩個表演晚上的傍晚時段(6時至8時)免費派發冰淇淋。
