Ali Antar whose famous name was "Dhul Qarnayn" and said to be the oldest Yemeni alive, died at the age of 140 after the two horns that started to protrude from his forehead at age 100 were primitively amputated using hot iron as a tool, according to local media reports.
Ali Antar who was a native of Al Jawf Governorate, east of the capital Danaa was well known as "two-horns". One of his relatives said " Ali died after 3 days when his health and well-being started to decline as he suffered old age symptoms through the result of the primitive way of cutting his horns", according to the Yemeni newspaper.
However, some netizens have condemned the act of this
traditional method of removing his horns, which may be the cause of his suffering and eventual death.
