38-year-old woman died in Yuen Long apartment, Hong Kong police launched an investigation

The investigation is ongoing by the Hong Kong police after a 38-year-old woman was found lifeless at a flat in Yuen Long, New Territory, according to the report.

Hong Kong police said on Thursday that the incident was reported by a man who said an offensive odour was being perceived from a neighbouring flat in the same building on On Lok Road at around 5.50pm on the other day.

He added that there was a suspicion the deceased neighbour, surnamed Lee, might have fainted inside.

However, the woman was confirmed dead after the police got to the scene.

It was gathered from a source, as reported by SCMP, that there were no suspicious wounds found on the woman’s body.

Police later said that the case had been handed over to the relevant team and was still under investigation, adding that an autopsy would be conducted to find out the cause of her death.
