After a 23-year hiatus, the 73rd Miss Universe Hong Kong selection is making a comeback, and this time, the competition is open to women of all ages above 18. Previously restricted to those between 18 and 28 years old, the pageant has now removed the upper age limit, allowing confident and accomplished women from diverse backgrounds to showcase not only their beauty, but also their vibrant stories and experiences.
The winner of the Miss Universe Hong Kong pageant will be awarded a cash prize of HK$1 million and will have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong on the global Miss Universe stage, competing against national ambassadors from over 150 countries around the world this November.
The first round of auditions is scheduled for August 3 and 4, and interested candidates are encouraged to visit the Instagram account of the Miss Universe Hong Kong selection or submit their resume, photographs, and contact details by July 31.
This change in the age limit aims to provide a platform for women of all ages to showcase their beauty, intelligence, and poise, celebrating the diversity and achievements of the Hong Kong community. The organizers hope that this revamped competition will inspire and empower women to pursue their dreams and aspirations, regardless of their age.
