Fire Services Respond to Ten Reports of Fallen Trees Amid Gale Signal

The Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal at 6:20 PM, indicating the onset of severe weather conditions in the area.


In preparation for the storm, the Home Affairs Department has opened 30 temporary shelters across various districts, with 166 individuals seeking refuge so far. Local authorities are on standby to assist those affected by the adverse weather.

As of 10 PM, the Fire Services Department had received ten calls regarding fallen trees, while the Government's 1823 Call Centre logged five similar reports. Fortunately, there have been no reports of landslides or flooding at this time.


According to the Hospital Authority, no individuals have required medical treatment at public hospital Accident and Emergency Departments during the ongoing typhoon period, as of 8 PM today.


Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and urge residents to stay safe.

截至晚上10時,消防服務處已接獲十宗有關樹木倒塌的報告,而政府的1823熱線中心也登記了五宗類似報告。幸運的是,目前沒有報告涉及山泥傾瀉或水浸的情況。


根據醫院管理局的資料,截至今晚8時,並無任何人在公共醫院的急症室尋求醫療治療。


當局將持續密切監察情況,並呼籲居民保持安全。
